Memorial Day Flag Retirement Ceremony

Join Portland's Boy Scout Troop 129 for a flag retirement ceremony. This will take place in the fire pit behind the VFW, starting shortly after the Memorial Day parade and ceremony in the cemetery. The VFW is also hosting the traditional chicken dinner at this time. At 3:00 there will be a bugler (or two) playing taps for "Taps Across America". If you have a flag that is no longer respectful to our country to fly please drop it off in the barrel in the vestibule of the VFW.
