About

The Alanson Riverfest is an award-winning festival organized by the Village of Alanson Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The Alanson DDA was established in August of 2004. From the beginning the board’s central purpose was determined to be the creation of economic growth in order to stimulate a healthy village tax base. The idea of hosting a festival to celebrate the community turned into reality by 2006. The first Riverfest was held in August of 2007 and resulted in a successful event deemed worthy of repetition.
