Bell's Brewery Eccentric Cafe

355 E Kalamazoo Ave

About Us:

On June 11, 1993, Bell's Brewery became the first Michigan brewery to serve beer by the glass to the public. The Eccentric Café offers customers a chance to taste many of Bell's well known beers, as well as small batch brews that are not distributed outside of the pub. Visitors enjoy its warm atmosphere and spacious beer garden and patio. The Cafe also features interesting food, an extensive collection of art and ephemera, as well as live entertainment throughout the week (music, movies, theater, homebrew demonstrations and more).

In the beginning of 2010, renovations to the downtown Kalamazoo facility began with plans to make significant improvements to the existing Café and transform former warehouse space into a separate, dedicated, and state-of-the-art music venue.

The Cafe officially reopened on March 28, 2011, allowing us to host musicians and other entertainment acts from across the country. Renovations also included expanded restrooms, additional seating options, a transformed Beer Garden, a new patio and a new main entry way.

I love chicken wings and have had a ton of different chicken wings. I found my absolute favorite wings here at Bell's. They smoke the wings out back and you can get three different flavors which are all great. My personal favorite is the buffalo which isn't Trump orange in color or sopping of buffalo sauce like I've had at other places. Get the wings, try their awesome beers and thank me later.

Awesome atmosphere. Plenty of cool places to sit, inside or out. My husband's burger and fries were "good" and the jambalaya I had was awesome. The jambalaya portion was big enough for 2.

Great beers and delicious food. Yes, it's not fast food. It's good food. Also, customer service is top notch. Good smiles and great service. Just what you would expect from the number one independent craft brewery in the country. Pro tip: If you stop by the General Store to purchase homebrew ingredients and supplies, don't forget that members of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) get 10% off.

Bringing in The Verve Pipe was great! Every year request! Beverage choice was great too. Food was decent but caught the bottom of the basket fries.

Just had lunch at Bell's, had been one of our favorite places for lunch. Very disappointing Ruben sandwich today dry deli corned beef with very little thousand island dressing. Last summer the sandwich was very good with real corned beef, not deli. Service, fries and beer were good but the food and menu variety has really gone down hill. The menu in the past had many different choices but now is just another bar menu.
