Nelis' Dutch Village Theme Park

12350 James Street

Theme park is open daily for our 2013 Season. Please note our daily open hours. The warm days of late spring and early summer are a great time to visit our park!

We are Dutch! And our theme park honors our heritage. Our Village Theme Park includes buildings with authentic Dutch architecture, brick walkways, canals, gardens and special presentations depicting life in a typical village in the Netherlands in the late 1800s. Your visit to our village, called Noordhuizen, brings history to life in a fun and friendly way.

Love this place! GO here every year - kids have tons of fun feeding the animals and riding the rides. We have also done the wine & cheese tasting and its always been delicious. Not too expensive either!

A great place for kids young and older. They have a petting barn, rides for young kids a huge merry go-round and plenty of neat small shops for souvenirs and local Dutch treats. The smaller shops around the park offer chances to learn about crafts and facts from the Netherlands.

My family visited while on vacation, and I wasn't expecting too much. I was very pleasantly surprised, and we will definitely return. For our family of 5, it would have been $44, which might have changed my feelings if we didn't have a military discount. That does seem somewhat steep, but considering that you don't have to pay for any rides or the petting zoo area once you enter, it probably evens out. The village has many attractions to take in for adults and children. We enjoyed the dancing demonstration, animal area, Ferris wheel, swings, carousel, playground, pump trains, and some other play areas. We also visited the shops and were able to learn some interesting bits of information. Regarding the animal area, all the animals seemed to be well cared for and happy. I didn't notice any improper care as another visitor mentioned.

This is a wonderful, fun, and educational place, where young and old can have a great time. The presentations are fun and educational. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the history of the village, the area, and the organ. We had lunch at the cafe and were pleased. Great value and fast service. We will definitely go back with friends and family.

Great place to bring your family for a visit. Lots of different attractions for kids of all ages. They seem to be adding improvements as well. If you are a local, I would suggest getting the season/year pass. If you go more than 2 times, its worth it. They also have food here as well.
