While driving out to the museum we thought okay where is the GPS taking us? But it lead us right to Gilmore. The museum is set back in a beautiful country setting, quite and very well taken care of. We were amazed by the amount and different styles of automobiles they had on display. Had a section with motorcycles and even peddle cars! The little diner is a must stop even for just a piece of our and milkshake. You could spend a whole day walking around. Well worth the drive out there! I have always wanted to see a Tucker car in person and was finally able to best part for me!!

All I can really say is WOW. I remember going to this museum about 30 years ago when I was a teenager to attend a car show with a friend. The place stuck with me and I always wanted to return. Boy am I glad I did. They have really made this a world class attraction. Due to the time of the year we were only able to see about half of the cars they have but even that was a good 3 hours to just browse. They truly have some of the nicest examples of every generation of auto you can find anywhere. Staff was super nice and informative and while you cannot touch the vehicles you can get right up to them with no barriers and look in side. I will be going back to see this again when the barns and all displays are open. Not the cheapest museum not the most expensive, but they really use the funds well. Clean, well kept facilities and a setting to be remembered.

This is a great place to visit, whether you are a car fanatic or not. My wife and kids all enjoyed themselves too. During the month of May they do reciprocal passes with a few other places (i.e. Binder Park Zoo, Kalamazoo Nature Center, and the Air Zoo). For those with Binder Park Zoo passes, make sure you get on the Zoo's website and the a screenshot of your tourist pass. Make sure you bring your walking shoes, there's a lot to see. They did have elevators in the buildings with two levels for those that are unable to walk up stairs.

I love visiting here as often as I can. They have a diverse collection of some of the best examples of automotive history including rare examples. You can even learn to drive a Ford Model T, with its unique controls.

The Gilmore Car Museum has an amazing collection of vintage cars and is well worth the price of admission. They also have a Model T driving school where you can drive an authentic Model T and get a guided tour of select areas of the museum. Classes sell out fast so sign up early. Proceeds from the classes fund programs for at risk youths.
